K-MIRACLE held an online meeting with the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa) in the United Arab Emirates on August 4, 2026, to discuss potential areas of cooperation ranging from international exchange programs to participation in the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival (SEF) and the development of an initial joint pilot project.
The meeting provided an opportunity for both organizations to introduce their respective programs and operating models while examining how connections between South Korea and the UAE could be developed into more structured business and institutional collaboration.
Sheraa, based in Sharjah, supports entrepreneurship and startup development through a range of ecosystem-building initiatives. The organization also hosts the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival, which brings together entrepreneurs, investors, businesses, institutions and other participants from across the startup ecosystem.
K-MIRACLE, meanwhile, has been developing and operating international exchange, professional education and business programs with associations, institutions and companies since 2015.
The organization is currently carrying out work commissioned by the Pocheon Carbon Neutrality Support Center in Gyeonggi Province, focusing on international cooperation in carbon neutrality as well as the development of overseas environmentally focused technical talent and technology exchange.
Moving International Exchange Beyond One-Off Events
A key topic during the meeting was how international exchange programs could move beyond one-time events or conventional buyer introductions and instead create a pathway toward longer-term business activity and collaborative projects.
K-MIRACLE shared its experience in designing programs that begin with market understanding and institutional exchange before progressing toward business matching, professional cooperation and potential joint projects.
The discussion also covered the possibility of developing two-way programs that introduce Sheraa and the UAE startup ecosystem to Korean companies and institutions, while creating opportunities for UAE-based entrepreneurs and organizations to engage with the Korean market.
Both sides also exchanged views on how international partners can participate in ecosystem programs, how global networks are incorporated into program delivery, and which areas may be suitable for future cooperation.
SEF Participation Discussed for a Potential Korean Delegation
Potential participation in the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival (SEF) was another major point of discussion.
During the meeting, Sheraa asked whether K-MIRACLE would be interested in becoming involved in the Sheraa ecosystem and, in particular, whether it would consider participating in SEF as part of a Korean delegation.
K-MIRACLE expressed interest in the opportunity and discussed possible forms of participation, including institutional exchange, program-based collaboration and involvement in festival sessions or related activities.
The conversation also addressed how Korean companies, organizations and professionals could potentially be connected with the broader entrepreneurship ecosystem surrounding SEF.
Sheraa additionally indicated its willingness to support the participation of K-MIRACLE CEO Hwang KeumVit should she take part in the festival.
Follow-Up Meeting to Focus on First Pilot Project
The August 4 meeting concluded with both organizations agreeing to continue discussions around a possible first pilot initiative.
A follow-up meeting is expected to examine potential project themes, operating structures and participant profiles in greater detail.
Rather than defining a large-scale partnership at the introductory stage, the discussions are currently focused on identifying a practical project that can test how the two organizations’ networks, programs and operating capabilities may complement one another.
The meeting represents an initial step in exploring a longer-term connection between K-MIRACLE and Sheraa, with future discussions expected to determine whether the ideas discussed can be translated into a concrete international program or pilot project.
