K-MIRACLE and Dreamnest Sign MOU to Advance Korean Cultural Exchange and Global Talent Development

Partnership brings together educational expertise and community-based experience to develop joint programs, curricula and international cooperation opportunities.

K-MIRACLE, led by CEO Hwang KeumVit, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Dreamnest, a public-interest social cooperative headed by Kang Ji-hye, on September 1 to promote international exchange through Korean culture and support global talent development.

The agreement connects K-MIRACLE’s expertise in education, content development and program management with Dreamnest’s experience delivering community-based initiatives in South Korea and overseas. The organizations plan to draw on their respective strengths and networks to develop cultural and educational programs tailored to local needs.

Cooperation on Joint Programs and Curriculum Development

The MOU covers three principal areas: international exchange and joint programs involving Korean cultural content; curriculum development and mutual support for global talent development; and the sharing of domestic and international networks, information and promotional resources.

K-MIRACLE has worked with institutions in South Korea and abroad on projects spanning education, content development, and program planning and delivery. Through the partnership, it intends to connect this experience with Dreamnest’s community-based work to identify practical opportunities for collaboration.

The organizations will consider the needs of participants and the circumstances of each location when designing programs. Where appropriate, they will also connect relevant experts and institutions and share resources to support implementation.

Building on Dreamnest’s Cultural and Educational Work in Laos

Dreamnest undertakes a range of public-interest initiatives, including efforts to strengthen children’s educational rights, raise awareness and support immigrant spouses. Its overseas activities bring together culture, sport and education to engage local communities.

In Laos, Dreamnest works with the Blue Sky Learning Center in Vientiane to operate the “Blue Sky Ssireum Team” for local young people. The initiative introduces participants to ssireum, traditional Korean wrestling, through hands-on learning and practice.

Dreamnest also uses digital technology to facilitate international youth exchange. Through a platform where young people document their daily lives and cultures, participants can share content and communicate with peers in other countries.

These activities provide a foundation for the two organizations to explore how Korean cultural content can be combined with educational programs that reflect local interests and conditions.

Moving Beyond One-Time Cultural Experiences

K-MIRACLE and Dreamnest will explore programs that go beyond introducing Korean culture through individual events or short-term experiences. Their aim is to connect cultural participation with learning, developing content suited to the people and communities involved.

Drawing on examples such as Dreamnest’s ssireum activities in Laos, the organizations plan to consider how Korean cultural resources can be adapted to local settings and strengthened through structured educational components.

“Connecting Dreamnest’s experience running programs overseas with K-MIRACLE’s experience in education could open up many opportunities for us to work together,” said Hwang KeumVit, CEO of K-MIRACLE. “We want to develop programs that can be put into practice on the ground, with each organization making the most of its role.”

“Korean culture offers a wide range of resources that can be used internationally,” Hwang added. “Rather than simply introducing Korean culture, we want to develop content that allows us to learn and share experiences together with people in local communities.”

The organizations will hold further discussions to define specific areas of cooperation and implementation arrangements, beginning with projects that make effective use of their respective expertise.
