Training program helps participants connect professional experience with new career opportunities in a changing labor market
SIHEUNG, South Korea — K-MIRACLE conducted a career consulting and employment readiness program for participants of the Gyeonggi Siheung Jageunjari Regional Self-Sufficiency Center.
Titled “Successful Employment Consulting for Mid-Career Adults,” the program was designed to help participants preparing for employment or entrepreneurship identify their strengths, reassess their professional experience and develop career strategies suited to the changing labor market.
Repositioning Experience for New Career Opportunities
For mid-career job seekers, returning to employment involves more than finding a new position. It also requires translating accumulated knowledge, practical experience and professional capabilities into skills that remain relevant to current employers and industries.
As recruitment practices and industry structures continue to evolve, career transition, reskilling and the ability to adapt existing strengths to new roles have become increasingly important.
The program encouraged participants to view their previous work experience as a valuable professional asset and to explore how it could be applied to new occupations, industries or entrepreneurial opportunities.
Practical Career Planning and Employment Support
The training was led by KeumVit Hwang, CEO of K-MIRACLE, and focused on practical topics relevant to mid-career employment and self-reliance.

Participants reviewed current labor market trends and developed more specific strategies for connecting their experience with new job opportunities.

A representative of the Gyeonggi Siheung Jageunjari Regional Self-Sufficiency Center said the program provided participants with an opportunity to reconsider their experience from a new perspective.
“The training helped mid-career participants expand their previous experience into new possibilities,” the representative said. “Many participants said the program provided practical support as they prepared for reemployment and greater economic independence.”

“Mid-career adults already possess valuable assets through years of professional and practical experience,” Hwang said.
“The role of employment education is to help participants recognize those strengths and apply them in ways that reflect the needs of today’s labor market.”
She added that effective career support should help individuals build confidence in their existing capabilities while identifying realistic pathways for professional transition and continued economic participation.
Expanding Career and Self-Reliance Programs
K-MIRACLE plans to continue working with public institutions, community organizations and partner agencies to develop employment and career education programs for mid-career adults.
The organization will focus on strengthening employment capabilities, supporting career transition and helping participants establish a more sustainable foundation for long-term self-reliance.
