Practice-based program strengthens culinary skills, restaurant operations and workforce readiness for sustainable employment
YONGIN, South Korea — K-MIRACLE conducted a K-Food restaurant management training program for participants of “Bapgwa Hamkkeramyeon,” a food-service business unit operated by the Gyeonggi Yongin Regional Self-Sufficiency Center.
The program was designed to help participants develop the practical culinary and management capabilities required to operate a food-service business efficiently and consistently.
“Bapgwa Hamkkeramyeon” is a community-based food-service operation established to support economic self-reliance and create employment opportunities for socially vulnerable groups.
Building Practical Restaurant Management Capabilities
Successful restaurant operations require more than cooking skills. Menu planning, food-cost control, pricing, ingredient management, hygiene standards, workflow design and consistent product quality all play an important role in maintaining a stable business.
The training introduced participants to essential restaurant management practices based on real operating cases. Key topics included menu organization, cost-based pricing, inventory and ingredient control, sanitation management and the development of standardized recipes.
The program focused on methods that participants could apply directly within their current workplace.

Led by an Experienced Culinary Professional
The training was led by Professor Baek Hang-seon, a professional instructor with K-MIRACLE, president of the World Food Therapy Association and a recognized Korean culinary master.
Drawing on extensive experience in food preparation, menu development and restaurant operations, Baek provided practical instruction covering the full process from culinary production to business management.
The program combined hands-on cooking practice with operational guidance, allowing participants to understand how food quality, efficiency and profitability are connected in a professional kitchen.
Hands-On K-Food Menu Development
Participants prepared a selection of dishes suitable for commercial food-service settings, including chicken bulgogi, chicken cutlets, japchae and seasoned soybean sprouts.
Through the cooking sessions, they practiced ingredient preparation, production sequencing, storage methods and efficient kitchen workflows.
The training also emphasized the importance of standardized recipes in maintaining consistent taste, portion size and quality regardless of the individual preparing the food.
Participants learned methods for improving efficiency and quality control when preparing food in larger quantities, while reinforcing sanitation and workplace safety standards through repeated practice.

Strengthening Professional Skills and Workforce Readiness
The program was connected to a private certification course for side-dish specialists, providing participants with an opportunity to strengthen both professional knowledge and practical employment skills.
By combining culinary training, restaurant management and workplace application, the initiative aimed to help participants build greater confidence and prepare for continued employment or future entrepreneurship in the food-service sector.
